This page explains what happens to your data when you visit mistaek.com. It’s short because the site does very little with it. There are no cookies, no forms, and nothing that follows you around the web.
Who’s responsible
MISTAEK, LDA is responsible for your data on this site.
For anything about your privacy, write to hello@mistaek.com.
We follow the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In Portugal, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados) makes sure it’s followed.
Why there’s no cookie banner
The site doesn’t use cookies. None. So there’s nothing to accept or decline.
It also has no forms, newsletter, ads, tracking pixels or social media embeds. Links to LinkedIn are plain links. Once you follow one, LinkedIn’s own privacy policy applies.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details, such as your browser, the time and the page you asked for. It needs these to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
Our legal basis is legitimate interest: keeping the site online and secure. We don’t keep these records ourselves.
Visitor statistics
We use Plausible Analytics to see which pages people find useful. Plausible is based in the EU. It uses no cookies, doesn’t track you across sites and doesn’t store personal data. It counts visits, pages, where visitors came from, country and device type, all as totals. We can’t see who you are.
Our legal basis is legitimate interest: knowing which pages are useful helps us improve the site.
Images and fonts
The site’s images come from Sanity, the content system behind it, through cdn.sanity.io. Your browser fetches them directly, so Sanity receives your IP address and the browser details it needs to send them. Our legal basis is the same as for hosting, and we don’t keep these records ourselves.
Fonts load from our own server. No font service is involved.
Booking a call
The “Book a call” links open Cal.com, an external scheduling service. Anything you enter there, like your name, email and notes, is handled by Cal.com under its own privacy policy. Cal.com shares it with us so we can arrange the call.
Our legal basis is that you asked us to take a step before a possible project. We keep booking details until the call and any follow-up are done. After that, we stop using them and delete them wherever Cal.com lets us.
You can write to us at hello@mistaek.com. Our mailbox is hosted by Namecheap Private Email. We keep emails only as long as we need them to reply and keep the conversation going.
Our legal basis is legitimate interest: answering you.
Your motion setting
If you pause or play the site’s animations, your browser saves that choice in its local storage, in one entry named “mistaek-motion”. That way it holds across pages. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. It only exists because you used that button, so it needs no consent. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes it.
Where your data goes
Some of the services above are based in the US. They protect these transfers with safeguards approved by the EU. Plausible is the exception: it’s based in the EU and keeps its data there.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you
- correct it if it’s wrong
- ask us to delete it
- object to how we use it
- ask us to limit how we use it
- get a copy in a format you can take elsewhere
- complain to the CNPD at cnpd.pt
To use any of these rights, email hello@mistaek.com. We’ll reply within one month.
If this changes
If we add something new, like a sign-up form, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
